Is Sudden Withdrawal From Losartan Safe?

i hav ben using losartan for almost a month.....my blood pressure increases becoz of my anciety.....i am drinking 25mg rigth now......when i have my checkup....the doctor lower my dose...and the doctor says that if my BP well be normal i can stop drinking losartan....is it ok if i stop drinking losartan?

You should only stop when your doctor states that it is okay to discontinue it.

He would have stated that it can be stopped when the blood pressure is normal according to what is written above.
This means that if it is normal at your next visit, he may stop it.

It is possible that it is normal because of the medication and when you stop it the blood pressure may increase so you may need to monitor it at least twice a day for 3 to 5 days.
