Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Surgery Advisable For Brain Tumour Interfering With The Vision?
This is for consulation of one of my relatives. She has a small tumour in the brain and her right eye vision is completely gone. Every doctor seems to have a different opinion. Some are saying it should be immediately operated upon. When they went to a senior neurosurgeon for gamma knife surgery he said he will not operate since the tumour is not growing and spreading. He told to come after 3 months. For eye he asked to Consult an opthalmologist to ease the pressure on eye etc.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, the most important is diagnosis and without the proper diagnosis line of treatment can not be suggested, you need to depends upon the neurosurgeon for this, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
