Is Surgery For Tonsil Required As Voice Is Hoaxing And Hard To Hear?

I have been suffering from tonsils for over 3months now. I tried all medications but is still not going away. Do I need a surgery to remove it. There is a lot of hoaxing in my voice and people can hardly hear me speak. My age is 33, height 5.8cm and weight 68kg.
