Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Surgery Necessary For Correcting Near-sightedness?
My eye surgeon will be performing surgery on my left eye and then two weeks later on my right eye. My right eye is not that bad yet. Why does he want to perform the surgeries so close together? I am nearsighted and I decided to stay that way .... so I will still need glasses for driving but not for reading. Is that the right choice? Will my nearsightedness be worse after the surgeries?
As you explain the situation you don't know the exact diagnosis of your eyes.Given that I can not help you to give the exact opinion.I strongly recommend you to believe to your doctor or if you don't than change to another doctor for a second opinion.
Regards
Dr Jolanda
