Is Surgery Required For Cervical Spinal Stenosis And Disc Herniation?

I have cervical spinal stenosis & cervicl multiple level disk herniation. I will be having surgery for the severe pain, numbness & inability to hold things in my hand well. I also have had some problems with my bladder & bowels. I know every case is different, but for my type of problems what is the most commen surgery procedure & where is the incision?
