Are there any alternatives to surgery?I am 69 years old, 195 lbs, hypertensive, and high cholesterol - both under control. I know I'm overweigh for 5'5 1/2" tall, but the fat is in the genes mostly on my mom's side.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
We have to see what is the type of swelling is. If your nose is blocked then we have to see the nose with the help of an endoscopy. We have to give nasal sprayFluticasone for 1 month. If it does not get resolved even after 1 month we have to do surgery of the nose called functional endoscopic surgery from inside of the nose.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
