Is Surgery The Only Option For The Cavity In The Ear?
Hi,
I am Amit Singh, 3 years ago i had gone through surgery of my left year, i am not sure but i think it was MRM. Now i am facing hearing loss in left year, when i consulted a doctor he told me that there is a cavity in my ear and operation is the necessary.
Can you please tell me if surgery is the only option as i don't want to go through surgery again.
Post op MRM surgery causes cavity inside the ear and obliteration of mastoid with reconstruction of posterior canal wall together with tympanopasty to improve hearing is commonly done as second look surgery. If you dont want to opt for surgery hearing aids are another option..
