Is Surgical Procedure Necessary Reduction In Blockages After Medication?
good eveng... my dad.age-56 yrs had undergone angiography 3 months back.ther were blockages found in his rt. circumferential, lft circumflex, lad arteries. Also block was found in lft main coronary artery.Blockages in previous three was more than 80% but in lft main coronary was minor.Thereafter he was kept on medications for 3 months. After 3 months he s again called for angiography. He found the symptoms were minimised in this course.Does he need to undergo any surgical procedure here after?? and what should be further step that we should take?? please answer..thanking you..
Hi thanks for a good detailed description of the Angio report. Firstly the block in the arteries of the heart is unlikely to decrease by medicines. They can only control increase of blockade along with lifestyle modification which is equally important. Why have they called you for a repeat Angiography? The findings are unlikey to change so soon and if they have not advised Surgery after the first Angio it is unlikely that Surgery will be advised. However if three arteries are getting blocked I would advise Surgery as the treatment of choice. Feel free to contact me after the Angiography. Take care and dont worry. Dr Rishi from Delhi, India.
