Hi,

Apical density is seen when normal air filled a portion of lung replaced by any fluid or pus accumulation or growth.

It can lead suspicious of tuberculosis as well. I suggest you investigate with apicolordotic view chest X-ray as suggested by your doctor.

After confirming cause I can explain you further. If it tuberculosis then it is acquired through the respiratory tract and akt drugs given for that. Sputum examination beneficial in doing further work up.

Clinical correlation also needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
