Is Swollen Cheek And Difficulty In Swallowing Caused Due To Amoxicillin?
I am 16 and got my wisdom teeth removed on friday (jan 31) and it is now the 4th day. the swelling and pain was never too bad the first few days but i woke up this morning with my right side of my mouth hurting alot. the inside of my cheek is more swollen than before and i'm having a harder time swallowing comfortably. i've scared that it could be a progressing dry socket which i really do not want to be the case. also, is it possible for it to be caused from taking a new antibiotic (amoxicillin)? thanks
Hi Thanks for writing to healthcare magic. Its unlikely for amoxicillin to cause the swelling Some swelling is expected as bodys reaction to tooth removal It should settle soon WIshing you great health Regards DR ARUN
