Is Swollen Leg With Shock Like Feeling Upon Walking Suggestive Of Meniscus Tear?

I have seen a Dr. here who thinks I have a meniscus tear. He thought maybe it would heal on it s own. It got worse and I had a MRI on Fri. results not back till Mon. I can not walk on this leg it is now swelling all the way down to my foot and any time I put weight on it it is like electrical shocks going down to my foot.

Hello
Meniscal tears don't heal on their own but they don't always require surgery.
Usually with a meniscal tear there's some pain in the knee with clicking or locking up sometimes.
This sounds more like a cruciate ligament tear in your knee and that will probably require surgery
