Is Syphilis Transmission Possible Post Non-penetrative Sex?

I had preformed oral sex on a guy and he said that he had been diagnosed with syphilis a few days later, at the time he did not have any sores or rashes, could I still get it? I had blood work done anyways but how long does it take to show up in your blood?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. By oral sex it is possible to acquire syphilis. Usual incubation period is from 3 weeks to 3 months. As you are in risk it is better to take a course of Doxycycline antibiotic therapy to be on safe side. One week Doxycycline therapy is helpful for this. This is a prescription antibiotic and given in dosage of 100mg twice daily. At least 6 weeks is needed to get a positive blood test.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
