Is Taking 50mg Of OTC Sleep Pills Safe For Sleeplessness?

Hello, My question is that I have been taking OTC sleep-aid for a couple of months now, but does not work right away. It can take up to two hours to take effect, but I then am awake in two to three hours later. Enough to stay awake and even watch a movie. But the biggest concern I have for me is that I take far too many to even get that sleepy feeling, and I am talking about seven 50 mgs. at a time, often adding two more when I suddenly wake up and cannot fall back tosleep. I have suffered insomnia for so long that it feels normal to me. The drug epidemic is soooooooooo bad in my city that no one wants to give me anything. What kind of danger am I in for this behavior?

hi
In my opinion you must learn relaxation exercises and meditations to give you calmness. Keep yourself busy with mental work and physical work for 8-10 hours in daytime, meditation and relaxing exercises in evenings, avoid heavy bedtime meal and read serious books on philosophy and religion before bed.consult a psychiatrist and obtain prescription medications like zolfresh, clonazipam or whatever your doctor thinks is needed
best wishes
