Is Taking Aloe Gel Tablet Safe While Taking Warfarin?

Hi my mom had hip surgery on the 19th of October and is now on Warfarin. my question is will it harm her if she takes Aloe Vera Gel tablet with the warfarin. Please let me know as soon as you can. This is something she was taking before her surgery and would like to take again, I don t want to take any chances with her recovery. She is now 91 and going strong and doing vary will after the surgery. Thank you Bev Blair

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if taking Aloe gel tablet safe while taking Warfarin . Well when taken orally, aloe is a type of laxative called a stimulant laxative. Stimulant laxatives speed up the bowels and can cause diarrhea in some people. Diarrhea can increase the effects of warfarin and increase the risk of bleeding. If you take warfarin, do not to take excessive amounts of aloe . So i would suggest you to consult before taking aloe with warfarin , because it can complicate the situation .
