Is Taking Bactrim And Cipro Advisable To Treat Tooth Infection?

I have had a toothache the past few days. Today I woke up and my face/jaw is swollen and my bottom lip is numb. I won't be able to see a dentist until Monday, I hope. I know I need some antibiotics. I only have Bactrim and Cipro at home. Can I use either one of these for my tooth infection?

As per your complain a swollen fave and a numb lip can be due to either causes:
1. It can be due to either a deeply decayed tooth that is leading formation of a dental abscess..
When there is pys formation below. Root tips of the tooth it gets accumulated in the soft tissues leading to swelling..

2.It can be due to allergic reaction that can be due to any food or medicine..

So first of all you need to get yourself evaluated for the cause of the swelling..

In case if it is due to tooth infection then taking antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin can help..
However it will not alone help and you need to get the tooth treated for permanent resolution..

In case if it is due to allergies anti allergic medication. levocetrizine can help..
