Hi,

Benher-m contains a drug called metformin which is used in diabetic patients. The primary action of metformin is to make the body more sensitive to insulin so that insulin can act well and maintain normal blood sugar. In women, hormonal imbalance is the major cause for irregular bleeding. Insulin Resistance is one such cause for irregular periods. Hence your doctor has suggested the tablet in addition to Cycloreg.

It is safe to use and does not cause hypoglycemia (reduced blood sugar than normal range) in non diabetic person. I would suggest you to take the drug combination without fear.

Hope that was helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
