Is Taking Glimulim And Istampet Both Containing Metformin Safe?

I have type 2 Diabetic Mellitus. My cardiologist has changed my insulin (only once at night - 10 units) to Glimulin 2mg and Istampet 50/1000. All other diabetic drugs have been stopped. Since Glimulin also has Metformin and Istampet also has Metformin, is this okay. I am diabetic for the past 28 years. Kindly let me
know.
