Is Taking Ibuprofen And Hydrocodone Together Safe?

I had several teeth pulled on Tuesday, now my gums are swollen, and hurting as i had dentures put in the same day. The doctor gave me a script of hydrocodone/apap 5mg*/500mg, I also have instructions to take ibuprofen as well. is it safe to take both at the same time?
