Is Taking Oxycodone With Percocet Safe For Knee Pain?

Hi, I recently had a total knee replacement and my surgeon prescribed Oxycodone 5mg every 4-6 hours, not to exceed 8 pills a day. This is not adequately relieving my pain. I am still experiencing a pain of 7. I have Percocet 5mg/325mg that was prescribed by my primary doctor before the surgery to help with my knee pain. Is it ok to take 1 Percocet with the 2 Oxycodone so the dose would be increased to 15 mg?
