Is Taking Pantodac For Acidity During Pregnancy Safe?

Hello Doctor, I am currently in the 5th month of pregnancy. Before i become pregnant , i dont have any acidity problems, but last week i had a stomach upset and dysentery and after that i got acidity. After having my food i feel like from the throat to upper abdomen is burning , like acidity. I consulted my gynae and advised me to take "pantodac" . Is that tablet cures my acidity problem or acidity is common during pregnancy. Is that safe to take pantodac during pregnancy? After have a full dose i could feel the pain in my upper abdomen . This will continue through out my pregnancy? Please advice me.
