Is Taking Percocet Advisable While On Alprazolam?

will percocet 5-325mg tablet,( which I am presently prescribed because of a fall and serious leg bruise) interact with aprazolam, which I take ordinarily in a very small dose (.125mg) at bedtime? I am 81 years old and live alone, so I do not wish to harm myself.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
It is not advisable unless there is strong indication and need for it since it may cause increased drowsiness and supression of breathing. It would be better to have nonsteroid painkillers or some other medicines for pain.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
