Is Taking Sudafed Safe During Pregnancy?

Hello, I'm 16 weeks pregnant and have an AWFUL sinus headache and congestion this week. I've done my best to work through it but I'm on the computer and phone ALL day and I'm in so much pain. Sudefed is on the "ok to take" list my Dr. gave me but I'm reluctant to take anything. Is Sudefed (Sudefed brand as well as the "real stuff") REALLY safe to take? I know it will help, just trying to stay away from EVERYTHING but I'm having a hard time functioning at work.Thank you!
