Is Taking Toprol Safe Instead Of Metoprolol?

yes my name is Mrs. Davis and i would like to ask you a couple of questions one is metoprolol 10mg xl the same as toprol xl, the doc that i see gave me a script for metoprolol 200mg and cut in half, and another doc gave metoprolol xl 100mg, take one tablet twice a day, but with the first one once a day, which one should i do, I now have the twice a day one now

I really appreciate your concern, the dose of medicine actually depends upon the clinical condition and according to that dose of medicine being maintained, in my opinion better to have once in day because it is given to you in the beginning, as matter of factor it need to be discussed with the physician because they know the clinical history, here it is not being given hope this information helps, take care.
