Is Taking Trazodone With Sertraline Safe At A Time?

My mom is visiting from the United States and appears very out to lunch. She is taking Trazodone 100mg. and Sertraline 100 mg. Should she be taking these two drugs in tandem? As well as she does drink alcohol on them. Even with no alcohol in her system she speaks incoherently. What level of anti-depressant sare these drugs? Up there with Lithium, or more like a low dose of Prozac? Let me know your thoughts.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding whether it is safe to take trazodone and sertraline together I will suggest yes it is safe but I am her physician I would love to give one of them reason because both of them are antidepressants

The use of lithium or prozac will not be necessary to prevent overdose

Alternatively schedule an appointment with another psychiatric specialist for further clinical assessment and re-evaluation of her medications

I hope this helps Regards
