Is Taking Zoloft For Anxiety Safe?

My mother inlaw passed away. I have to go to her funeral today and i feel awful. I have been off of work since Feb for anxiety. I was on Lexapro till two days ago, I ran out and I no longer have insurance. I have some zoloft here. Could I take that? Please help
