Is Taking Calcium Tablet Necessary After Removing Uterus?

Dear Dr, After removing Uterus, is it compulsarily one has to take calcium tablets as a must? my aunty gets getting much hip and body pain and she has thyroid problems as well. More than 10 years, she is taking thyroid tablets, and the doctors keep on saying plz continue the same tablet everytime when she visits. 4 years ago, uterus was removed. but no one has advised her to take calcium tablets. now when visited doctor for the pain she gets in the whole body, its advised to take calcium tablet and she is very likely to get parallysed. she is worrying a lot abt this. can you plz advise what she should she do now?
