Is Taking Double Dose Of Lamictal While On Sertraline A Cause For Concern?
I am fairly certain I have accidentally taken my Lamictal twice today, probably about 4-6 hours apart. I am at 150mg normally and am also taking 100mg of sertraline. I have been on this dosage combination for almost three years with no problems previously. Should I be concerned? Do I need to skip tomorrow s dose?
Hello Welcome here. I can understand your concerns. You have to be very careful with doses of lamictal. It can cause serious drug reactions at times. As you also take sertraline, you have to be careful with your drugs as sertraline can increase the blood levels of lamotrigine.
Donot skip tomorrow's dose. Take it as per you daily schedule.
And you dont have to worry at present. There should not be any problem with single extra drug. Yes, if you develop rashes over your body, visit ER.
Hope this helps. Thanks
