Is Taking This Hepatitis-A Vaccine Acceptable In An Elderly Person?
In 2004 and 2005 I got my 2 doses of Hep A pet/adoles vaccine. Does this cover me for my lifetime, or do I need boosters? Also, I was 60 yrs old in 2005, so I m not sure why I was given the ped/adoles version. Does this make a difference re boosters? I m travelling to India, so I need to know. Thanks, Sophia YYYY@YYYY

Is Taking This Hepatitis-A Vaccine Acceptable In An Elderly Person?
Hi thanks for asking in question in HCM... Noted you are travelling to india... So if you are travelling to state of india where prevalence of hepatitis A more then vaccine can be given.... Only two doses needed... No need for booster dose.... Protection through formation of protective antibody... It will provide protection for atleast 10 to 15 year...And sometime life long also.... Hope your concern solved..... Take care..... DR.PARTH
