Is Taking Two Packs Of Birth Control In Same Time Safe?

I am taking the combined pill (Microgynon 30)and have been doing so for the last 4 months, recently i had to run two packs together as i was on holiday but returned only 4 days into the second pack. Can i stop taking the pills and have my pill free week now and then continue taking the rest of the pack? Also can i run more than two packs after one another?
