dear patient , hucog is nothing but Human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) which is actually a naturally occurring hormone that is found in pregnant women. Some women may not make enough hormone on their own, which can result in a miscarriage. In this case, a synthetic hormone injection must take place to protect the pregnancy. this hormone can cause side effects for any pregnant women like acne flare , mood swings ,nausea, edema ,a fatal condition called OHSS. so report immediately to your physician in case of stomach pain ,severe nausea or vomiting ,severe edema, shotness of breath.
