Wants to treat with taxol ( 12 weeks, along with herceptin and radiation). Her kidneys gave been stable for over a year, and she is pretty active. How dangerous. Is taxol for her kidneys? Her oncology team to has assumed us she will be monitored very closely . Thanks!
Rest assured, you have been offered the right treatment. Taxol does not affect the kidneys at all and is safe in your mother. Common side effects are hair loss, neuropathy, joint pains, mouth sores, low blood counts.
