Is Terrible Head Cold A Symptom Of Sinus Infection?

Hi I am a 31 Yr old female, with a terrible head cold. at least that's what I'm assuming. I am on currently, Ortho trycylene lo, 500 mg of metformin (not the extended release) and I am taking an over the counter drug, Tylenol cold max. I am just wondering if I have a cold, or a sinus infection. Help please

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems to be upper respiratory tract infection along with acute Sinusitis..
Nothing to worry as it will resolve soon as the virus will complete its life cycle..
I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Benadryl or Levocetrizine..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen..
Continue taking Tylenol if you have fever.
Do steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Saline nasal drops can help..
Decongestant Oral as well and nasal spray can relieve..
Avoid chilled foods and air conditioned atmosphere..
In case if symptoms does not resolve consult an Otolaryngologist and he can evaluate clinically and advise antibiotics..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
