Is The Blood Pressure Indicative Of White Coat Hypertension?
hi ,ive had hypertension for about 15years male 44yo overweight and been on 3-5 meds for it, now when i go to the heart specialist it always reads high 180/90 . i bought a b/p machine and decided to monitor it myself, i find that my blood pressure at home is between 119-125 / 72-80 , does this mean i have white coat and am i on too many meds for my condition ? meds are ; micardis plus 125/80 , noten 50, aldactane all 1 tablet per day .
You are right, it could be white coat hypertension. Anyway I would advise you to perform 24h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to be in the safe side.
Wishing you good health
