Hello dear,
Painful lump indicates a soft tissue infection, leading to abscess. It is more frequent in hot and humid climate with excessive sweating. It needs be treated early with antibiotics and analgesics. If not comes down in 2-3 days, may need incision and drainage.Course of treatment should be completed to prevent relapse. And,if it occur repeatedly,it will be better to do a pus culture and sensitivity test to give the correct antibiotic. You doctor will guide you for this.
Thank you.
