Is The Hardness And Pain In Feet Related Injury Healing Process?

Our filing cabinet at the office fell and hit my left leg and my feet. I just elevated my legs immediately and applied a cold compress. then I applied Hirudoid cream. It's been a week now and I still feel pain especially on my feet which swell 3 mins after the incident. And I feel slight pain on my legs and there's something hard under the skin if you touch it. Is this part of the healing process?
