Is The Heavy White Discharge With Irritation And Itching Due To Unwanted 72 Pill?
Hello Doctor,
I had unprotected sex on the 19th of this month and took unwanted 72 pill on the 21st. My periods were due on 22nd or today i.e 23rd feb. That dint happen and am assuming it is because of the pills side effect. but what is bothering me here is not the delay exactly but the heavy white discharge which is semi thick thats coming out non stop, with itchiness and irritation. Can you please tell if that is also another side effect or not? or is there any other problem? I am not sure if the white discharged started before the consumption of the pill. I also had unprorected sex a week before as well, but dint consume any pill then. Kindly help me. Hoping to hear from you asap!

Hi Thank you for asking HCM Your problem is most likely a bacterial vaginosis but have to rule out an STD. For bacterial vaginosis i treat my patients with metronidazole or clindamycin as oral tablets or in the form of suppositories. I usually prescribe an intimate wash for maintaining bacterial flora after antibiotic therapy.Approach you gynecologist for that. You should have a urine pregnancy test before starting antibiotics also.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
