Is The Implanon Still Effective If It Has Moved 1 Centimeter?
Hi my implanon has been working fine for the last two months but I just noticed it has moved about 1 centimeter from its original insertion spot. It Can still be felt under the surface of the skin and is on the same angle as it was originally inserted. Basically, I just want to check that it is still effective as contraception, even if it has moved about 1 centimeter. Thanks.
On occasion, it can shift a little, but almost always less than an inch from the place where it started. This phenomenon can happen if a doctor inserts the device too deep into a person's arm, according to the case study. Intense exercise could also result in an implant migration. You should be able to feel the implant with your fingers and know that it is in the right place. If you ever can’t feel you implant, contact your physician to make sure all is well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
