Is The Loin Safe To Eat?

Hi, I smoked a pork loin in the smoker and put a foil pan in the bottom of the smoker to catch drippings. I didn t realize the foil container had a plastic lid on the bottom of it until I was cleaning up and found the plastic. Is the loin safe to eat? It did not come in contact with the meat. Thanks!

Welcome healthcaremagic. I am not concerned whether eatable or not. But once a doubt is there, it will keep you preoccupied between yes or no. So better to be on safe side not eating option. Moreover many people will say their different views complicating your confusion. I will be happy if it helps you.
