Is The Medication Of Duragesic 100 Mg Right For My Symptoms?

I have been dealing with chronic pain for years, have had many x-rays, upper & lower MRI s, ultrasound, NCT, multiple steroid injections, much time spent with clinical narcotis specialist, neurologist, upon review of my very extensive file I feel it could be argued I have been through a 360 degree except I rejected invasive procedures such as morphine pump, Boston Scientific et. I exercise as much as can toterate, eat healthy, vitamins etc. The only thing that has worked well with continuous results for a long time is the 100mcg Duragesic patches and have been told as of late that will be discontinued. What am I to do?

Hi,

If such interventions including narcotics haven't helped, Diagesic patches may not be withdrawn abruptly. Using gabapentin and carbamezapine alone or in combination before withdrawing patches may be helpful.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
