Is The Medication Of O2 Tablets Advisable For Bulge In The Stomach?

I suspect I am suffering from amoebic infection with bulginess in stomach frequent sound and movement, frequent motion symptom and general discomfort. This is not gastric problem as I have already tried PAN-D tablets but no relief. Can I take O2 tablets which is combination of oflaxacin nd ornidazole.

Hi,

The brand O2 tablet contains antibacterial oflaxacin and antiprotozal ornidazole commonly prescribed in the treatment of mixed (bacterial+amebic) infections of the gut. This combination is found to be effective against diarrhea caused by the susceptible microbes as mentioned above. Along with O2 tablets you may take probiotic like lactobacillus to reduce the frequency of loose motions. PAN-D is effective for the symptomatic relief of acidity related issues such as esophageal reflux disease, stomach or duodenal ulcers. O2 is not effective against the 'bulge in the stomach' for that you need to be examined by a doctor.
