Is The Nerve Compartment Syndrome In The Calf Due To Back Problems?

Have a a spinal fusion 8 months ago. Have been given the go ahead to start running, but the nerve compartment syndrome in my left calf is back. Is this still from my back or should I see a doc about a test for compartments S. I had a test done about 6 months before my back op and it was high. Doctors were convinced that it was part and partial of back issues.
