Is The Presence Of Carbapenem Resistant Enterobacteriaceae Mentioned In A Blood Test Report A Cause For Concern?
I have blood work that say...greater than 100,000 cfu/ml of escherichia coli this organism is a carbapenem resistant enterobacteriaceae.....I have been told I cannot take any pills for this as they do not work on me..I do have an appointment with a Nefrologolist next week....Please tell me what is happening here.....Was this caused by mesh surgery I had qq THank You

Hello,
You need broad-spectrum antibiotic. Usually, the drug sensitivity report also gives antibiotics to which the bacteria is sensitive. You have to take that drug.
