Is The Prolonged Bleeding A Sigh Of Menopause?

Hi I am 49 and have had a period going on 17 days straight sometimes with heavy bleeding. My period did not come the previous month I had a ultrasound on a Friday and a uterine sonogram to. No answer from dr. due to it being on a Friday. Is this normal for menopause
