Is There A Chance Of Pregnancy After Withdrawal Bleeding After Taking Unwanted 72?
I had un protected sex with my girl frnd on 11/09.before that she had periods from 4/9 to 8/9.during intercourse very few amount of semen entered her vagina which I washed out. This incident hapend around 1pm. At 6 pm she take unwanted 72. From 17/9 she again having period. Is there any chance of getting pregnant?
Hello there, thanks for writing in. I would like to reassure you that you have taken the emergency pill within 72 hours and it is the right time. And it is highly unlikely for her to get pregnant. The reason why she has bleeding could possibly be a hormonal imbalance induced by high dose of progesterone ( in the pill) without enough estrogen in the body ( in the first part of the cycle, follicular phase) However, no contraceptive is 109% fool proof and if you think she had only spotting (17/9) but not really bleeding and she missed her anticipated period, it is worth testing urine for pregnancy soon after missed period. But I would say again this is not the most likely scenario. Hope this information helped you a bit. Good luck!
