Is There A Way To Speed Up Healing Of Lingering Skin Discoloration After Cellulitis When Daflon Shows Slow Results?
I have had Cellulitis infections about two years ago and was treated very well with Antibiotics and recovered well but coloration of the skin is still exist but is not as bad as it use to be. I am taking daflon tablets but the progress is very slow. Is there any other medicine to use for discoloration. Thanks.
After cellulitis, the discoloration often tends to fade very slowly, and in some cases it may not disappear completely. Keep skin protected from UV exposure, avoid direct exposure to sunlight as it may worsen pigmentation. Protect your skin from trauma, as discolored areas are more fragile.
If there is no active infection, or ulcer then gentle massage will be helpful. Avoid use of steroid creams and cosmetics that have bleaching agents. Stay adequately hydrated. Apply topical skin-lightening creams that have azelaic acid, kojic acid, or retinoids to gradually reduce pigmentation. It may take time.
For perfect result you are advised to get laser therapy done by a dermatologist. With Daflon results can be slow.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
