Is There An Alternate To Sumo Tablets To Relieve Pain?

Hi Doc, I am having severe Thigh cramps , I went to ER twice ,but the medicines prescribed doesnt work for me , I took tablets from my friend who got Sumo tablets from India , every day before going to bed i take one tab and the pain relieves and I am able to sleep comfortably else i would be awake whole night. Could you suggest me some similar kind of medicine in USA , i currently live in LAS Vegas. also can i get the SUMO tablets from India couriered to me or are there any obligations.Kindly help. Thanks, Rajesh

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Sumo tablets contains nimesulide 100 mg, paracetamol 500 mg. Nimesulide was never permitted to be used in United States, Canada, Britain, Australia etc. It has been banned due to its harmful effects on liver causing liver failure on long term use. In india it is banned to use under 12 years of age.
So you would not find any drug containing nimesulide in Usa. You could take other drugs like tramadol, diclofenac (voveron) or acelofenac with combination of paracetamol. These are easily available there.
