Is There An Immediate Cure For Scabs Due To Chicken Pox?

Hi, so it s been a week since i ve had chicken pox and now the spots on my body doesn t really bother me much since i can always hide it with my clothes but the big problem are the scabs on my face. I will be graduating in two weeks which means I have to get my graduation picture taken, also i will be in a play this coming thursday and i was wondering how long will these scabs take before they fall off? I have 4 of them on my face, but there s one on my forehead that s actually quite big. It was the first spot that appeared but back then i didnt know i had chicken pox, so i thought it was a pimple and so i picked on it and now it turned into a huge blister and now a huge scab.. What i want to know is if there s any way i could make the scabs go or fall off faster? Because i really have to get back to school or else i wont be able to graduate.. Thank you so much in advance!

Hi,

There are many treatment options available for the cure of scabs due to chicken pox. Pitted scars, also known as "Atrophic scars". Treatment will depend upon the severity of scar and indentations. I would suggest you apply a moisturizer with vitamin E and Aloe Vera extract directly onto the pitted scar. Also, apply turmeric powder mix with honey for 15 minutes daily and then wash it. Avoid exposure to sunlight and cover your skin while going out. If the scars and pits are severe and do not go away with the above method then consult a dermatologist for proper clinical evaluation. The doctor may recommend a cosmetic procedure or laser therapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
