Is There Any Chance Of HIV Infection Thru Protected Sex?

Dear Doctor, I had protected vaginal sex last night and i had a small cut from shaving an inch above the base of my penis, I cut myself approximately 3 hours before intercourse and there was no visible blood, please advise me in regards to HIV infection from vaginal fluid coming into contact with this cut, whether a doctor would prescribe post exposure prophylaxis treatment in this case. Thank you for query.i do not think any possibility of vaginal fluid coming in contact with base of penis.there is least possibility of transmission of HIV.post exposure prophylaxis will not be recommended for such cases.So you can allay fears of HIV.You can get back for any clarifications.Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist.
