Dr, I am a female 35 now. I have got married just a week before. I want to know , is there great complications in pregnancy after the age of 35. should i consult a gynaecologist before conception. We reside in Bangalore and are new here. Please help me with a gynaecologist as well. Good day. Thanks

Hi,
I can understand your concern and i would like to tell you that after 35 years of age, there are more chances of down's syndrome and other genetic abnnormalites, but with proper guidance and regular follow up with gynecologist, you can surely conceive and deliver a healthy baby.
So don't much bother and start planning your pregnancy after consulting gynecologist and start folic acid tablets while you are planning.
