Is There Any Connection Between Staph Infection And Intercourse?
Went for an ultrasound scan and I was told that I had free fluid in the left adnexa ,had excruciating pains on my lower abomen could not sleep at night even pain killers did not work for me I was in pain day in day out went for further check ups and blood tests were made and it was discovered that I was infected by a staffiloccocus bacteria but I did that not understand what all of this means how did I get infected?does this have anything to do with sexual intercourse.
Thanks for posting your query to HCM. Staphylococcus is commonly present in environment and can cause infection .It is not directly related with sexual intercourse . I wanted to know how did you know about Staphylococcus infection. which specimen you used for culture and sensitivity testing . your complaint are suggestive of Pelvic inflammatory disease(PID) and there are so many causes for this .PID can be caused by exual contact with ifected partner but Staphylococcus do not transmit through sexual contact . You need to contact a Gynecologist and take complete treatment . take care .
